VIDEO: The moment terrorists hit a Paris cafe

CCTV footage has revealed the chaos that ensued when an Islamic State gunman rained bullets on a Parisian cafe on Friday.

The video, obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail, showed the moment a gunman shot at a cafe in Paris’ 11th arrondissement, or district. The cafe was not named.

It was the same district where the Bataclan Theatre is located.

The man, reported to be 26-year-old Salah Abdeslam, sprayed the eatery, and its outdoor area, with bullets on Friday evening, as diners and staff dropped to the ground and huddled together, moving out of the main cafe as soon as possible.

At one point, the gunman appeared to aim his rifle at a woman, apparently a waitress at the cafe, who was huddled outside the shop with another injured woman.

But the weapon misfired and he moved on. Both were later seen running away.

According to Daily Mail, none of the staff or diners inside the cafe were killed in the siege that lasted about a minute before the gunman moved on, leaving in a black Volkswagen Seat.

A man who had arrived to pick up a pizza was killed after he was shot in the back. At least 14 other people in the area were injured in the attack.

Six separate coordinated attacks took place in Paris on Friday, including four in the 11th arrondissement.

Between 9.30pm and 9.45pm, bar A La Bonne Biere, restaurant La Belle Equipe, restaurant Comptoir Voltaire and the Bataclan Theatre were hit by militants from Islamic State.

The Charlie Hebdo office, which was hit by a violent shooting in January, was also located in the 11th district.
