The Attwood man faced an out-of-sessions hearing on Monday night and has been remanded into custody to appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The women’s Ford was T-boned by a Mercedes as it entered an Attwood intersection on Sunday night.

The 56-year-old passenger, from Greenvale, died at the scene, while the 60-year-old driver, from Westmeadows, died en route to hospital.

One of the victim’s family members was following her car closely when it was hit.

The man driving the Mercedes was unhurt.
