Already a father to 22-month-old daughter India Rose, Thor star Chris Hemsworth is now a parent of three following the birth of twin sons on Friday morning in Los Angeles.

Hemsworth’s wife, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, gave birth to the twins at the Cedars Sinai Medical Centre after the spending Thursday night in hospital.

According to reports, Hemsworth was spotted pacing the halls of the hospital while his wife was in labour, escorted by a guard.

Hemsworth, 30, married Pataky, 37, in 2010 and the pair made their last public appearance at this month’s Academy Awards, where Pataky flaunted her huge bump in a fitted green gown.

The actor opened up about fatherhood to Who Magazine following the birth of his daughter in 2012, calling it “surprisingly normal”.

“I couldn’t ask for anything more,” Hemsworth told the magazine. “Having a baby has made everything else less important, and it’s just wonderful.”
