Lizzo explains ‘quit’ call

After making a statement saying she “quit”, Lizzo assured fans she didn’t mean she was quitting the music industry.

In a video shared to Instagram, Lizzo said she was quitting giving “negative energy” any attention. “What I’m not going to quit is the joy of my life, which is making music,” the singer said.

Game of Thrones torture

Before Ted Lasso, Hannah Waddingham was on Game of Thrones and she got something out of the hit series she never expected – chronic claustrophobia.

It turns out she was “actually waterboarded” for 10 hours straight on set, as she told Stephen Colbert. The Brit also managed to sneak in a few swear words on the US late night show.

Teddy Bear Hospital

Melbourne’s children had the opportunity to take their favourite teddy bears for a ‘check up’ at the University of Melbourne’s Teddy Bear Hospital.

The hospital is run by volunteers from the university’s Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences to help give kids a positive medical experience, and to improve students’ communication skills with youngsters.

Trickster tram driver

A Melbourne tram driver got into the April Fool’s Day spirit this week, asking passengers to jump on the floor to help ‘unlock’ the tram’s plates after the tram had stopped.

When the tram got going again, he explained, to the surprise of those onboard, that the delay was due to two reasons: The locked plates and April Fools.

Big jump for a little dog

Pearl the dog was very excited to show her owner her giant fish toy, but didn’t quite stick the landing when she tried to jump on the bed.

Luckily, the second attempt was more successful and she could proudly show off her squishy friend.

Bird alarm – activated

When one person called out to a nearby peacock, they unexpectedly activated the bird’s alarm system, hearing cry after cry from the magnificent creature.

A tiny opossum was given a bath this week at the Big Country Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre but we can’t tell if they loved or hated the experience.
