Teen dies at police station after stabbings near school

A teen has been charged with murder after a stabbing in Sydney’s west on Friday afternoon.
About 3.40pm, emergency services were called following reports two teenagers had been stabbed on Power Street, Doonside.
Before officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command could arrive on scene, two males – aged 18 and 19 – presented to Blacktown Police Station with stab wounds.
The 18-year-old died at the scene, and the 19-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested near the Doonside location and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station.
He was charged with murder and refused bail to appear at a children’s court on Saturday.
Officers from Blacktown PAC with assistance from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad have commenced an investigation into the incident under Strike Force Cooey.
As inquiries continue, anyone with information into the incident is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
