As Roger Federer was battling it out on court in his five-set victory against Stanislas Wawrinka on Thursday night, those watching at home were more concerned with his wife’s choice of attire.
Mirka Federer, who has been married to the Swiss champion for eight years, wore a particularly eye-catching hot pink jumper to support her husband from the sidelines.

The jumper, from Italian luxury brand Gucci, was a controversial sartorial choice, prompting many fans on social media to ask, “What the %*$# is Mirka wearing?”.
One Twitter user even described it as “Eurotrash”.
But on a side note, does anyone know what's going on with Mirka Federer's sweater? #AusOpen

Others loved the bright style statement, which bore the French phrase, “L’Aveugle par Amour,” meaning “Blinded by Love”.

Unfortunately for fans of the sweater, it’s no longer on sale on Gucci’s official site, but a different variation – featuring a cat instead of a tiger – can be scooped up for a cool $AU1670.
You can score a slightly different version of the jumper if you have a spare $1670.
Mrs Federer isn’t the first celebrity to wear the candy-coloured clothing item.
Beyonce has also been photographed in the jumper and PR maven Roxy Jacenko sported the cat version during her husband Oliver Curtis’s insider trading trial.
