Just two Aussies win US Open seedings

Australia’s chances at the final grand slam of the year are slim going by the seedings.

Bernard Tomic was the only Aussie male ranked in the top 32 hopes at the tournament.

Tomic was seeded at No.24, while there was no place for the controversial Nick Kyrgios.

Sam Stosur, a former winner of the tournament, was seeded at No.22 in the women’s draw.

Her 2011 triumph remains the only grand slam victory of her career.

World No.1 Novak Djokovic of Serbia tops the men’s seedings, with Swiss maestro Roger Federer in second.
