Manly weather Storm, but still on the bottom

A late David Williams try has given the Manly Sea Eagles a 12-10 win over the Melbourne Storm at a rain-soaked AAMI Park.

In a quintessential ‘game of two halves’ the Storm went to half-time with a 10-2 lead after tries to Marika Koroibete and Cooper Cronk.

But the Sea Eagles struck back in the second half with Tom Symonds crossing in the 50th minute, before winger Williams touched down in the right corner with eight minutes remaining.

Melbourne lost its spot atop the ladder when the Dragons beat the Roosters in Sydney, while Saturday night marked Manly’s second win of the season.

The Sea Eagles remain on the bottom of the ladder, two points behind 15th-placed Parramatta.

More to come.
