Inglis in doubt for Origin after Rabbitohs’ rout

South Sydney overcame a serious injury to star full-back Greg Inglis to storm home to a 34-14 victory over the New Zealand Warriors in Perth on Saturday night.

Inglis is in doubt for the second State of Origin match for Queensland after suffering an ankle syndesmosis injury against the Warriors in first half.

It is feared the high ankle sprain could sideline Inglis for at least six weeks.

The Rabbitohs also lost winger Bryson Goodwin to injury but dug deep to fight back from 10-6 at half-time.

Two tries in three minutes to Dylan Walker and Kyle Turner saw South Sydney take the lead after 60 minutes.

The Rabbitohs did not let-up with two more tries to David Tyrell and one to Joel Reddy before Konrad Hurrell scored a consolation try for the Warriors.
