Wednesday horse racing tips for Pinjarra

A great day for readers of The New Daily on Saturday with fantastic results from our two races previewed. Up on the Gold Coast, selection VELROSSO won the Magic Millions Cup with CLUB COMMAND running a gallant third.

No surprise to see the money come for CLUB COMMAND as he started almost a third of the quote offered at the time our preview was published. At around the $4 to place he was a superb betting proposition. The Ascot meeting was postponed until Monday due to the extreme weather conditions but that did not stop our blackbooker SILVER TRACE winning in superb style.

Wednesday sees another good day of racing and we bring you a preview of two races from Pinjarra in WA. In addition to this, The Trial Files and The New Daily favourite LORD OF THE SKY has also accepted for Race 7 at Caulfield. If the 3yo colt runs, we expect him to be very hard to beat again.

PINJARRA Race 6 — 3yo NMW Handicap (1200m)

There are a couple of horses hitting the track here that trialled last week who we are keen to follow.

The likely favourite, 5 MISS HALLOWEEN is somehow still a maiden. She has started favourite three times in her career from only five starts, and she has performed in the top three-year-old company in city grade. There isn’t a huge amount of pace on paper in this race so Noske should be able to settle her in the first four from the middle barrier. She looks hard to beat.

There are two last start winners engaged her being 1 OMINOUS WARNING and 4 KLAASE DANCER. 1 OMINOUS WARNING finished strongly from midfield last time out to break his maiden, but from the good draw today and big weight we think he will roll to the front as he did a few starts ago. With the lack of strong pace in the race, this looks to be his best chance of winning two in a row. 4 KLAASE DANCER was a good winner on debut on Boxing Day at this track and distance. She also won well from midfield with 1 OMINOUS WARNING finishing fourth behind her that day, however he did get way too far back. They actually remain on the same weight terms for the result back on Boxing Day so a lot will depend on the likely tactic change with 1 OMINOUS WARNING ideally rolling forward.

The form coming out of the Bells Tower race on December 18 was always going to be questionable and that race involved 10 SCAMPIN. He finished fifth that day but the first five horses across the line were only separated by a long neck. The form coming out of that race has been mixed with Bells Tower failing in better company; while Foxalicious went on to win in similar grade. 10 SCAMPIN has run since and was very average in finishing midfield. We aren’t saying she can’t win, but her form line does have a big question mark next to it.

7 HIGHLY SECRET I the other horse we are keen to follow from her good trial last week, however we think today might not be her day. She ran on strongly from the back in the trial and looked like she might be wanting a bit further than the 1200m today. Watch for her late and we will follow up on her next time.

5 MISS HALLOWEEN really should be winning this and going on to better things. Her trial suggests she is in great order and her being beaten today would be a surprise. If there was an upset it is likely to come from last start winners 1 OMINOUS WARNING or 4 KLAASE DANCER. We are also keen to keep an eye on 7 HIGHLY SECRET who should get better over further ground.

PINJARRA Race 8 — 3yo+ Handicap (1200m)

They should run this at a strong pace with 5 WAR PROFILE, 8 MADAM SASS and 9 ROSIE CAN likely to push forward and ensure it is run at a good clip.

An interesting runner is 6 IT’S NO MYTH, who ran on strongly from the rear of the field first up which is against her usual pattern of racing on the pace. It will be interesting what they do with her today as she has a wide barrier again. If she jumps well they may push forward, if not there is a chance they could snag back again as they did last time. Whatever she does shouldn’t play too much part in the general tempo of the race as there is strong pace engaged regardless.

The Brett Pope trained 4 LEQUEST was part of a massive plunge last start and was able to settle midfield and get home easily. Before that she was consistent in running two placings at her first two runs this preparation. She has again drawn to get a similar run from barrier 7 and looks hard to hold out.

1 HE’S TOUCHED returned last week with a trial behind Fiddlers Elbow, a horse we rate very highly. He had a good first campaign and was able to win his maiden on debut before running two solid fourths without being beaten too far. He is likely to roll forward and sit in the first four in running from barrier 3, if he does this he will be in the finish.

One horse we are keen to follow after his recent strong trial is 2 TRADE TIP. He will need some luck from a wide barrier but if he can slot in with cover just back of midfield he is a good chance to finish over the top of them. He came from near last in his trial and ran on very strongly. He has had over 12 months off but looks in great condition, he is a huge chance in this.

4 LEQUEST is very consistent and rates as hard to beat again. Our blackbooker 2 TRADE TIP can run a big race and if he’s at each way odds ($6+) we would be happy to back him each way. 1 HE’S TOUCHED had a consistent first campaign and can continue on with that here.
