Marcos Ambrose in post-race punch-up

Australia’s Marcos Ambrose has been involved in an ugly post-race scuffle at the NASCAR event in Richmond, Virginia.

Ambrose appeared to punch rival driver Casey Mears in the face after being shoved by the American as they argued in the garage in the wake of a wild race.

Two-time V8 Supercars champion Ambrose finished one place behind Mears in 19th in Saturday’s race.

Up front, Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski and Matt Kenseth bumped and banged their way to the chequered flag after the final restart with eight laps to go but Joey Logano snuck past all three to claim his second race win of the season.
