UFC heavyweight Travis Browne has spoken publicly for the first time about his relationship with megastar Ronda Rousey.
It is believed Browne, 200cm tall, and 170cm Rousey got together during the American summer.
Speaking on the MMA hour, Browne announced he and the UFC women’s bantamweight champion were officially a couple, but just don’t call it dating.
“Dating is for children… Dating is for kids,” he said.
“Over the summer, through all the sh*t that I had to shuffle through… Ronda and I started talking throughout the summer and I’ll say now that we are together.
“She’s my woman and I’m her man.
“There’s no boyfriend, girlfriend stuff. There’s no dating. We’re together.”
Browne was referring to his breakup with girlfriend Jenna Rennee Webb, who accused him of beating her in July.
Webb posted images to her Instagram account which appeared to show bruises on her face, arms and feet.
Browne was suspended while the UFC investigated the allegations, which were dropped when sufficient evidence could not be found.
Speaking on Rousey, Browne couldn’t help but gush.
“The fact that she’s out there winning ESPYS and the star she is on the movie screen and all that kind of stuff, that’s all great,” he added.
“But that’s not who I know her as.
“I know her as one of the hardest working athletes that I’ve ever seen, in this gym busting her butt on a daily basis… How much of a sweetheart she really is.”
Rousey will be in Melbourne to defend her UFC title against Holly Holm next month.
