Tiger Woods has been accused of having an affair with a rival major winner’s wife.
Woods has been linked with Jason Dufner’s former partner Amanda Boyd, and the affair was believed to have occurred when the 14-time major winner was dating skier Lindsey Vonn.
America’s National Enquirer, quoting two unnamed sources, said the affair became serious “earlier this year”.
“Even though Tiger dated Lindsey for years, he had a ‘thing’ for Amanda,” the source said.
“At first, it was just innocent flirting, but earlier this year it became serious.”
“Amanda is gorgeous, and she’s known as a big flirt with the other players on the PGA tour,” another source said.
Dufner and Boyd divorced earlier this year, citing an “irretrievable breakdown of the marriage”.
But Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg branded the story a “complete lie and fabrication”.
Woods split with wife Elin Nordegren in 2010 after a series of extra-marital affairs with more than a dozen mistresses was revealed.
