Western Sydney Wanderers beat Sydney 2-0 in derby

Western Sydney Wanderers have scored an emphatic 2-0 win over rivals Sydney FC in front of a huge crowd at Sydney Football Stadium.

The Wanderers scored two first-half goals to shut out Sydney FC in front of 40,388 fans, a record Sydney FC attendance for a home or away regular season game.

Wanderers attacking weapon Shinji Ono played a major part in both goals.

In the 12th minute he set up a goal for Iacopo La Rocca and then scored his own in the 26th minute.

Sydney, without captain Alessandro Del Piero, have conceded six goals in their past two matches and scored none.
