Italy's Gianluca Brambilla and Russia's Ivan Rovny were disqualified from the 16th stage of the Tour of Spain on Monday after they came to blows mid-race.

In a bizarre display, the two men began shoving and hitting each other on an uphill climb.

Brambilla is believed to have been upset that Rovny was disrupting the pacemaking of the race.

Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt except Rovny's sunglasses, which were broken in the altercation.
