Australia wins men’s team pursuit world title

Australia have won gold in the men’s team pursuit, beating Denmark in the final at the world track cycling championships in Cali, Colombia.

Glenn O’Shea, Alex Edmondson, Luke Davison and Mitchell Mulhern claimed the world title on Thursday despite a slow start in the 4000m race.

They rallied despite losing a rider with just under 2km to go and were ahead by over a second with 500m to go.

New Zealand disposed of Russia to win the bronze medal.
