Prosecutors won’t charge Lamar Odom after the former National Basketball Association star was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel with cocaine in his system.

Nye County District Attorney Angela Bello on Monday said the evidence didn’t prove that Odom used the drug during his three days in the county.

She said the cocaine had already metabolised, making it difficult to determine when he had used it, after Odom was hospitalised on October 13 in a critical condition in Las Vegas.

The Odom family says he left a Los Angeles hospital last week for a private facility.

Odom won NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010.

He married reality television star Khloe Kardashian in 2009, and appeared regularly on the series Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013, but, following Odom’s apparent overdose in October, the couple filed a petition to dismiss the divorce filing.
