Sylvia, who played 163 games for the Demons and Dockers, revealed he’d suffered bleeding to the brain and a fractured neck.

“Not ideal start to the weekend … your (sic) not supposed to fall off balconys apparently!” Sylvia posted.

“I’d have to agree — fractured my neck and bleeding to the brain. Extremely lucky. Doing a great job the team down here at the Alfred. Be careful and stay safe everyone.”

Sylvia, who stopped playing in the AFL in 2014, has yet to explain the cause of the balcony fall.
