Kieren Jack’s jealous mum is the problem: reporter

Kieren Jack’s mother ignited the Jack family feud began with abusive text messages which his mother, Donna, sent to the footballer’s girlfriend, Charlotte Goodlet.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 6PR radio in Perth that the stoush all stemmed from Donna’s behaviour towards Charlotte, specifically uncomplimentary text messages.

“Donna has said, and texted, the most appalling things to Charlotte. She doesn’t like her and there seems to be no basis for her not liking her,” Ford said.

The Jack family affair spilled on to front pages this week, just ahead of Kieren’s 200th game for the Swans, when Donna tweeted her and her husband Garry’s disgust at not being invited to Kieren’s 200th game due to the fallout among the family over Ms Goodlet.

“I might add she didn’t like Kieren’s last girlfriend either, so there seems to be a recurring theme here. She needs to take a good hard look at herself.”

He also asserted that a mother’s jealousy was at the centre of it all.

“It’s about free tickets to a game, it’s about wanting to be in the Swans’ enclosure and being wined and dined as the parents of a star player.

“It is absolutely pathetic.”

When he finally spoke on the matter on Wednesday, backing his girlfriend to the hilt.

“She is strong, she is an independent woman and not just a model. I love her very much and I am very proud of her,” he said.

The Swans play Geelong in a crunch match for both sides tonight at Skilled Stadium in Geelong.
