Collingwood are likely to pay a high price to secure AFL father-son recruit Darcy Moore.

As expected, the Magpies nominated Moore on Friday ahead of Monday’s bidding.

Carlton, who have the No.5 pick in the national draft, or Western Bulldogs (pick six) are expected to bid for Moore.

That means Collingwood will have to give up their top pick at No.8 to sign him.

The highly-rated key position player is the son of two-time Brownlow Medallist Peter Moore, who played 172 games for the Magpies.

Brisbane nominated Josh Clayton, the son of former Fitzroy and Brisbane player Scott.

The Bulldogs put forward Brian Cordy’s son Zaine, while Billy Stretch is set to follow his Dad Steven in becoming a Melbourne player.

The other nomination was Alec Waterman, whose father Chris played for West Coast.

Seven players tied to northern club academies were also nominated on Friday.

Sydney will have priority access to Isaac Heeney, Abaina Davis and Jack Hiscox.

Greater Western Sydney nominated Jeremy Finlayson and Jack Steele, while Brisbane have gone for Harris Andrews and Liam Dawson.
