Pies shocked as Dayne Beams seeks Qld trade
Collingwood’s 2012 Copeland Trophy winner Dayne Beams has asked the Magpies for a trade to a Queensland club.
The Queenslander is contracted to the Magpies for 2015.

His brother Claye plays for the Brisbane Lions, while the league’s other Queensland-based club Gold Coast could also be an option for the 24-year-old midfielder.
Beams has told Collingwood family reasons have influenced his decision to seek a trade.
“We want Dayne to stay,” Collingwood’s football director Rodney Eade said on Wednesday night in a statement.
“We understand his personal situation and will be working with him and his management, as we do all our players, to find an outcome that may give him more time with his family and remain a Collingwood player for 2015 and beyond.”
