Residents of Novato, California are being terrorised by an angry squirrel. At least five unsuspecting people have been attacked, including a gardener and a student. One victim had to go to the local hospital after the squirrel landed on his head and began biting and scratching. Read more

A Norwegian newspaper has been forced to apologise after it accidentally announced the death of Santa Claus. According to the obituary, Santa lived to 227 and his funeral would be held on December 28 at the North Pole. The obituary has since been removed from the website. The New Daily can confirm Santa has been spotted alive and well preparing for his big Christmas mission. Read more

An Ohio driver has led police on a 50 kilometre car chase after being pulled over for eating a bowl of cereal behind the wheel. Police noted her erratic driving, but when they tried to charge the driver she took of. The woman was later caught when her car began to break down. Read more

A 22-year-old man suspected of burglarising homes in the US has been killed after hiding in a lake to avoid being detected by the cops. An autopsy found the man drowned after an alligator attack in the lake, with parts of his body found in the reptile’s stomach. Read more
