Donald Trump ridicules disabled journalist at rally

Donald Trump has mocked a disabled journalist in the latest controversy to plague his Presidential candidacy.

The Republican presidential front runner was discussing his previous allegations about Muslims in New Jersey celebrating 9/11, when he seemed to imitate disabled journalist Serge Kovaleski.

Kovaleski, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter, who lives with arthrogryposis affecting his arm movement, previously said he didn’t remember “thousands, or even hundreds, of people celebrating.”

At the event in South Carolina on Tuesday, Trump moved his arm in a claw-like fashion as he rebutted Kovaleski.

“Now the poor guy. You ought to see the guy: ‘Err, I don’t know what I said. I don’t remember’,” Trump said, with his arms moving around.

“He’s going: ‘I don’t remember. Maybe that’s what I said.’”

The New York Times reporter said Trump’s actions were not a surprise.

“The sad part about it is, it didn’t in the slightest bit jar or surprise me that Donald Trump would do something this low-rent, given his track record,” he told the Washington Post.

In an ABC America interview last week, Trump claimed he saw “thousands” of “Arab” people cheering the attacks occurred.

“I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down,” Trump declared.

“And I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down. Thousands of people were cheering.

“It did happen. I saw it. It was on television. I saw it. There were people that were cheering on the other side of New Jersey, where you have large Arab populations. They were cheering as the World Trade Center came down.

“I know it might not be politically correct for you to talk about it, but there were people cheering as those buildings came down. And that tells you something.”
