A photo of a mother breastfeeding her child on the toilet has divided the internet with some arguing it’s an honest portrayal of parenthood’s less glamorous moments while others label it “disgusting”.

The photo was originally posted on Elisha Wilson Beach’s Instagram account. The mum-of-two is the wife of Sons of Anarchy and ER actor, Wilson Beach.

The Facebook photo was then re-posted on light-hearted parenting page “Life of Dad”.

Many expressed praise for the image because it accurately represented times when, as parents, they’ve been tired and overwhelmed.

“I cannot believe there’s a lot of women b*^*#@*g about what this beautiful mother is doing,” said one comment,

“Her bathroom is not ‘filthy’. Guess WHAT?! When you have a walking toddler they.will.get.into.everything.”

But not everyone shared the praise, as some called the image “disgusting”.

“Disgusting…I’m a mother of three and I have never had a mommy moment like this,” one wrote.

Another Facebook user exclaimed she was “all for feeding your child” but said “why the hell would you feed your child while you’re on the toilet”.

Those in favour of the photo have had the last laugh, as the most popular comment, with over 2,000 ‘likes’, is a supportive one.

“This pretty much sums up mommy hood,” the comment reads.
