A leather 18th century sex toy has been found by archaeologists working in Poland.
The workers were digging at the site of a swordsmanship school in the coastal city of Gdansk when they came across an eight-inch leather dildo covered in rough bristles, according to various reports.

“It’s quite thick and rather large, made of leather and filled with bristles and has a wooden tip,” the Regional Office for Protection of Monuments in Gdansk’s spokesman said.
“It was found in the latrine and dates back to the second half of the 18th century”.

The archaeologists also found a umber of wooden swords on the site which led them to believe it was the place of a swordsmanship school.
The toy has been taken away for further examination in Poland.
While the sex toy is old, it is nowhere near as ancient as a 28,000 year old silstone phallus found in Germany in 2005.
At 20 cms long and 3 cms wide the ‘tool’ was found in a famous prehistoric cave and is one of the earliest examples of a suspected sexual toy.
Experts believed it could also have been used as a tool to split other stones.
