Alleged murderer asked Siri for help

A Florida man accused of murdering his former friend had a photo on his iPhone asking Siri where he could hide a body, a court has heard.

Pedro Bravo is accused of kidnapping and murdering his friend Christian Aguilar in 2012 after offering him a ride to department store Best Buy, according to a Buzzfeed report.

Both men were from Miami and had gone to school together, but the friendship fell apart when Bravo’s ex-girlfriend began dating Aguilar.

During the 20-year-old’s trial this week, prosecutors asked about a photo on Bravo’s phone which showed a Siri exchange showing Bravo asking where he could hide a body.

The iPhone application responded with “swamps, reservoirs, metal foundries, dumps”.

Both Florida detectives and Bravo’s defence team agreed that there was no evidence that he made the enquiry.

More mobile phone evidence was also introduced in court, with detectives saying that Bravo’s phone flashlight was on during the same time forensic experts believe the body was being buried.

An experiment conducted by Buzzfeed found that Siri no longer offers advice on how to hide a body.
