A petition titled “Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card” has gained more than 165,000 signatures on the White House’s official We The People petitions site. The threshold for White House appraisal of a petition issue is 100,000.

The petition asks Barack Obama to reconsider Bieber’s presence in the States and send him back to his hometown of Canada.

“We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture,” the petition reasons. “We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation’s youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.

A White House representative told Mashable that “Every petition that crosses the threshold will be reviewed by the appropriate staff and receive a response.”

Canada was quick to respond…
