Bieber deport threat

A petition titled “Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card” has gained more than 165,000 signatures on the White House’s official We The People petitions site. The threshold for White House appraisal of a petition issue is 100,000.

The petition asks Barack Obama to reconsider Bieber’s presence in the States and send him back to his hometown of Canada.

“We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture,” the petition reasons. “We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation’s youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.

Americans are clearly unimpressed with Bieber’s latest law-breaking antics on US soil. In recent months, the Internet tween-throb has been caught doing the following: drag-racing under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs in Miami, egging a neighbour’s house, filmed urinating in a bucket, abusing former President Bill Clinton, and today he was officially charged with the assault of a limousine driver in December last year.

A White House representative told Mashable that “Every petition that crosses the threshold will be reviewed by the appropriate staff and receive a response.”
