A Perth teenager has camped out for four days to be the first person inside Perth’s first Krispy Kreme doughnut store, sleeping in a makeshift tent during the evening.

Nineteen-year-old Favian Lin has slept outside the store since Sunday to be the first in line in order to secure a year’s supply of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

“It was actually my friends that suggested it to me because I have lots of free time,” Mr Lin told Nine News ahead of the opening on Wednesday morning.

“They just taste… there’s something very unique about them from other doughnuts.”

He will be given a dozen doughnuts every week for a year as a reward for his efforts.

The store – part of a popular American chain – is expected to sell 5000 boxes of doughnuts each day.
