Home of Perth bikie Mercanti raided
The home of high-profile Perth bikie Troy Mercanti has reportedly been raided in connection with an attack on a Mongols gang associate last month.
Gang crime squad officers combed a Duncraig home on Monday morning, seeking evidence to help their investigation into the stabbing of a 32-year-old Mongols associate at the outlaw motorcycle gang’s Balga clubhouse on November 22.
Media reports suggest the house is owned by Mercanti, who is in jail.
Mercanti was expelled from the Coffin Cheaters bikie gang and became a founding member of the Finks, which were recently “patched over” by the Mongols nation-wide.
In March he was sentenced to six years and ten months jail for serious assaults on the mother of his two sons, Tammy Kingdon, over their 15-year relationship.
A police spokesman said an update on the operation was expected later on Monday.
