The bodies of four people, including a teenage boy, have been tragically discovered in a suburban Melbourne home on Tuesday morning.

Two men, a woman and a teenager were found dead in the property in Broadmeadows, in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

The distressing discovery was made in Bicknell Court before 2am on Tuesday.

Officers are working to figure out how the four people died, but police said the deaths were not believed to be suspicious.

The teenage boy’s uncle, who made the horrifying discovery, told media he suspected a drug overdose could be to blame.

The uncle, who lives in the neighbouring unit, said the boy was just 17 years old.

He told Nine’s Today show he knocked on the door, but when no one answered he went to a window. Through the window, he saw his nephew lying on the ground, and smashed the glass to get inside.

“I’ve come home to find family members in the house deceased,” he told Today.

“I found them and it’s tortured me.

“It may have been a drug overdose, I’m not too sure.”

The same uncle told the ABC’s News Breakfast the teen was a happy-go-lucky kid and a brilliant boy.

Police have taped off the unit complex as detectives and forensics investigate the scene.
