Two bikies shot from a moving car in a drive-by ambush on a Melbourne bridge have police appealing for anyone with dashcam footage.

Victoria Police’s anti-bikie Echo taskforce is investigating after a group of men riding motorcycles in a convoy across Bolte Bridge were shot at on Friday night.

One of the bullets in the rapid-fire fusillade struck a 40-year-old Sunbury man, who lost control of his bike and slid into a traffic barrier.

He was take to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and what was reported to be a chest wound.

A second rider also attended hospital later in the evening with suspected gunshot wounds.

Police believe the shooter may have been travelling in a station wagon.

They have called on anyone who might have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward, as well those who were on the road in the area at the time and might have noticed something.

Investigators believe it is possible the parties are known to each other and that it was a deliberately targeted attack involving rival gangs.

The incident snarled traffic after police closed the bridge to conduct a crime-scene investigation.
