Police search for gunmen after three men shot

Police are searching for two men after a triple shooting in Melbourne’s north.

Emergency services were called to a house on Erinbank Crescent in Westmeadows just after 11:30pm, where they found three men with gunshot wounds.

The men were taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

One was in a serious condition while the other two were stable.

Police said it appeared the victims – aged 26, 28 and 37 – were shot by two other men after an altercation broke out.

The two offenders fled in a dark-coloured sedan.

Armed Crime Squad detectives are at scene and the area has been cordoned off.

A neighbour who lived two houses away said he heard eight to 10 shots.

The man, who did not wish to be identified, said he had given CCTV footage to police showing someone firing shots and running across his front lawn.

Another neighbour said he heard shots and a car speeding down the street.

People in the street said had been trouble before at the house, and people often came and went.
