Tornado warning causes funny social media storm
Melburnians are breathing a collective sigh of relief after a tornado warning issued for parts of metropolitan suburbs was dropped.
The Bureau of Meteorology reported the tornado struck the outer northern suburbs of Tullamarine, Craigieburn, Campbellfield between 1.30pm and 2pm.
It said destructive winds, heavy rainfall, large hailstones and tornadoes were “likely” in parts of the south-east and north.
