Loans up to $200k for Vic bushfire victims
Farmers affected by recent Victorian bushfires will be offered loans of up to $200,000, to help during the recovery process.
The concessional loans will be provided through the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements scheme, co-funded by the state and federal governments.

Loans will be offered to primary producers in the council areas of Ararat, Benalla, Moira, Strathbogie and Wangaratta.
Bushfires ripped through these regions in December and January, with homes and livestock lost.
On Monday, December 15, more than 350 fires sparked, mainly caused by lightning in the state’s north east.
In the west, fire burnt through 4,600 hectares at Moyston, near Ararat.
Initial reports suggested that more than 1,000 sheep died in the bushfires, with that number expected to increase.
