Victorian police are looking for a Melbourne delivery man who went missing while working on his normal route.

Officers say Shiva Chauhan, 27, began his delivery route on Thursday night and was last heard from via text message around 11.30pm.

On Friday morning, however, it was discovered his deliveries were not made and he failed to turn up to a meeting that afternoon.

Shivas’ delivery van was found on Huttong Road in Keysborough around 3pm on Friday, police said.

His personal belongings including his wallet were also in the van, which was locked.

Police have released a photo of Shiva, who is described as Indian, around 177cm tall, with a slim build and dark-coloured straight hair.

They are urging anyone who may know his whereabouts to contact them.
