Man charged amid ‘ice’ trafficking probe

A man has been charged as police investigate the trafficking of the drug known as ‘ice’ in central Victoria.

On Friday afternoon, four people were arrested after a three-month police investigation.

Search warrants were executed at three homes in North Bendigo.

Local police were helped by officers from the Special Operations Group and Critical Incident Response Team.

Lee Zarb, 35, from North Bendigo, is due to appear in court today, charged with trafficking methamphetamine and cannabis.

He will also face firearm and assault charges.

Zarb has spent the weekend in police custody after he was remanded by a bail justice on Friday night.

A man in his 20s has been charged with possessing methamphetamine and was granted bail.

A woman in her 20s is expected to be charged with drug offences, while another woman in her 20s has been cautioned.
