Police appeal for road rage mobile phone footage

Tasmanian police are appealing for mobile phone footage of a suburban road rage incident in Hobart.

Two men from Bridgewater, aged 29 and 31, have been charged with common assault, but investigations are continuing.

Police allege the men were in a four-wheel-drive ute which rammed into another vehicle during the incident which spanned three northern suburbs on Tuesday.

Constable Steven Bugg says police believe a member of the public filmed part of the incident on a mobile phone.

“These vehicles were driving in an erratic manner which was quite dangerous for other road users and was also driving erratically through school zones,” he said.

“We had a number of callers talking about the erratic and dangerous driving manner which was pleasing, but we are after further witnesses to come forward.”
