A South Australian man’s love for Victorian Bitter has won the hearts of beer lovers across the country, with his collection of beer cans spanning over 15 years.

The man, from Moonta on the Yorke Peninsula, showcased his “VB Shed” in a series of YouTube videos, showing him swim through what is believed to be 30,000 VB cans.

In one of the videos, the man, dubbed “The Roid”, is seen waving to the camera while smoking a cigarette inside the sea of green tins, asking, “How do I get out of here?”

The lager lover’s identity remains a mystery.

A woman behind the camera, who goes by the name Tammy Penhall on YouTube, is heard commentating on the remarkable collection.

“It might have got a bit fuller since the last video but this is it, this is one man … 15 years of his most favourite beers,” she says in one video.

“One man, tens of thousands of VB cans, this is it. Some guys call it the ultimate beer pit and they’re pretty correct in saying that.

“If you didn’t believe it before, believe it now. This is your dream beer pit guys.”
