A man has been arrested and charged with murder after a man’s body was discovered in a wheelie bin at Aldinga Beach south of Adelaide.

The victim has been identified as a 32-year-old Aldinga Beach man.

The arrested man, 47, was from Aldinga.

Police said the two men were known to each other and had been drinking together in the early hours of New Year’s Day when the alleged murder occurred.

The accused man has been refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
