Hidden cameras in toilets: man caught filming

A man has avoided jail for putting hidden cameras in toilets around Adelaide.

Gordon Inchul Christie, 20, of Prospect had pleaded guilty to 28 counts of indecent filming.

Some of the cameras were in toilets during the Tour Down Under cycling, at its village in Victoria Square in the city.

A magistrate has sentenced Christie to nine months and three weeks in jail but suspended the term and imposed a good behaviour bond.

The defence told the court the young man had been struggling with his sexuality.

The magistrate agreed Christie had struggled to accept he was gay and said the young man had now been getting psychiatric treatment.
