A woman has been charged with murdering a man who was allegedly stabbed to death at a Brisbane property where they both lived.

Liddel Tamika-Rose Ramsey, 24, did not appear as her charge was mentioned in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

She is accused of the murder of Delroy Francis Bin-Garape, who was found with chest injuries on a footpath outside his home in Annerley about midnight on Tuesday.

Police said they were alerted by Ms Ramsey.

Despite efforts by paramedics, Mr Bin-Garape died from injuries described by police as catastrophic.

Detective Inspector Mark Thompson said the pair were known to each other, and no one else lived at the home.

Police appealed to anyone who might have seen either of the pair walking along the busy Ipswich Road from 6pm on Tuesday.

Inspector Thomson said police had conducted an extensive search of the area.
