Bushfire rages in southern Queensland

Fire crews are battling a bushfire near Dundathu near Maryborough in southern Queensland, with aerial support called in to help contain the blaze.
The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) had issued a watch and act advice at 12:30pm, but this was cancelled at 2:15pm.
QFES said fire crews were working to contain the bushfire near Dundathu Road and Star View Drive, but no properties were under threat.
Residents were told to call triple-0 if they believed their property was under threat.

Authorities said the fire was causing a significant smoke haze, which was likely to continue into the evening and residents should close their windows and doors.
It said the fire was fast-moving and travelling south, with crews having difficulty in controlling the blaze.
