Mr Lang was admitted to hospital on Saturday morning after being punched by the shirtless jogger following an “exchange of words” on a South Brisbane street.

The man police wish to speak to

Police say they are investigating all possibilities, including whether the two men knew each other.

Police have released CCTV footage of the man they want to speak with which was captured as he walked past the nearby Fox Hotel.

They have also appealed for witnesses to the incident that took place around 10.15am in Melbourne St.

The jogger is described as about 170cm tall, with short dark hair and shirtless, but wearing black running shorts with a red top tucked in to the waistband.
