A woman who fell to her death from a Gold Coast high rise building was a New Zealand citizen.

Police say 26-year-old Warriena Tagpuno Wright from Lower Hutt, New Zealand, died after falling from the 13th floor of an apartment block at Surfers Paradise early on Friday.

Neighbours heard voices and noises coming from a unit before the woman fell about 2.20am.

When police arrived, no one was found at the premises.

A man who lived alone at the unit was interviewed on Friday afternoon, but was later released without charge.

Police are trying to piece together Ms Wright’s final movements.

Officers are appealing for anyone with CCTV, camera or mobile phone images or video of the building around the time she fell to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
