Second bomb threat at Queensland airport

A central Queensland airport has received two bomb threats in just four days.

A 41-year-old man on Tuesday afternoon became the latest to be charged with telling staff he had explosives in his luggage, sparking an evacuation at Gladstone airport.

He was charged with one count of making a threat to aviation security and was due to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on April 29.

The threat came just four days after a 50-year-old man tried the same tactic at the same airport.

The 50-year-old man appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday charged with one count of falsely stating a bomb was present.
