Final farewell for Bali mum, daughter

Family and friends will gather in the Queensland town of Gatton to farewell Noelene and Yvana Bischoff, who died in mysterious circumstances in Bali.

A service for the mother and her teenage daughter will be held at the Gatton Baptist Church from 11.30am (AEST) on Monday, as their grieving family continues to wait for answers.

Autopsies have been completed on their bodies but the family is yet to learn the cause of their deaths.

The pair became violently ill and died less than a day after checking in at the Padang Bai resort.

Their Indonesian death certificates state both had heart attacks, and there has been speculation toxic fish caused them to fall fatally ill.

Many of Noelene’s relatives and friends still reside in Gatton, west of Brisbane, where she grew up.

Mourners will also travel to the service from the Sunshine Coast, where the 54-year-old nurse and her 14-year-old daughter lived.
