Clive Palmer has become a dad for the fourth time.

The mining magnate turned MP told the twittersphere that his wife Anna has given birth to a girl.

“My lovely wife Anna has given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Mother and child are both doing well,” he tweeted about 2.45pm (AEST) Wednesday.

Politics was on his mind even while he waited for his child to enter the world.

“We’re here now. It’s not the liberal way but at the moment it’s the labor way. Hopefully it will soon be the right way,” he tweeted.

Mr Palmer and his wife already have a daughter, Mary.

His eldest two children are from his marriage to first wife Susan, who died of cancer.
