Police are investigating a fatal crash on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast that has killed a 74-year-old woman.

The crash happened on the Bruce Highway near Cooroy early yesterday morning.

Police say the woman and her husband had pulled over and got out of the car to check their boat trailer, when they were hit by another car.

The woman died at the scene and her 73-year-old husband was taken to the Nambour Hospital with serious injuries.

The 20-year-old driver of the other car was also taken to hospital but only suffered minor injuries.
