An early morning fire has destroyed a post office on North Stradbroke Island, off Brisbane.
An adjoining petrol station and house were also damaged when the blaze broke out at Amity Point around 1:00am (AEST).
But Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Richard Gorey says crews managed to stop it spreading further.
“It took approximately two hours for units to gain control of that fire and stop it from spreading,” he said.
“At this stage the fire is out and they’re still dampening down on scene and are waiting for fire investigation units to arrive.”
