Authorities have suspended a search for an overseas student who was washed off rocks on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

The 21-year-old man from Saudi Arabia was swept out to sea at Noosa late yesterday.

An extensive air and sea search has failed to find any trace of him.

The search will resume tomorrow, weather permitting.
